You won't lose the beat if you just keep clapping your hands...

So...I was uploading the pictures from our trip... and I got a little carried away. There's music and subtitles.** Picasa is pretty cool. I must say we weren't very good at taking pictures. We did that thing I always try not to do. Take a lot of pictures of buildings. Those aren't really good for framing!

Still those pictures are just a hint of what we loved about Savannah. Like you can walk down the street with any adult beverage of your choice in hand, as long as it's in a plastic cup.

It makes you feel like a rebel and makes vacation kinda fun!
We, of course, only indulged in the evenings but we saw people fully embracing the to-go cup in the middle of the morning!

The other cool thing is the SCAD. Having young, artistic types running around the city in their hipster gear gives a historic place a unique, artsy vibe. And brings in good music!

The Wilco show at the Johnny Mercer Theater was amazing--they played for more than 3 hours! They never disappoint.
(Even at your 9th concert of theirs.)

And after we met and bonded with a great couple from Jacksonville, FL and hung out a bit--we decided to try and score some tickets to the sold out She & Him show with them.(as I hoped) We managed to get two seats... and it was great!

We ate more southern comfort food than I care to remember...but Mrs. Wilkes' Boarding House was our favorite... The fried chicken! The mac-and-cheese! The greens! Yummy!

All and all--great trip, great company, great city!

**the little movie slideshow isn't as clear as it is on my Picasa site! Bear with me!
